Matt has been in the Financial Services business since 2001. His concentration is employer sponsored retirement plans (401k Plans) and personal financial planning. Prior to joining Browne, Draper and Land, Matt ran a family business for nine years. Matt graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. While lettering in football, he played on two Southeastern Conference Championship Teams (1988, 1989) as a defensive back. He serves as Advisory Board Chairman of the Northwest Georgia Fellowship of Christian Athletes, has been a volunteer assistant football coach at Dalton High School since 1993, and is a Tom Jones Fellow with the Dalton Education Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Dalton-Whitfield, class of 2004, and was a founding member of the Advanced Leadership Academy of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce. He is married to the former Amy McCord of Roanoke, Alabama, and has three daughters and a son: Bowen, McCord, Banks and Cross. The Land family is a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church.
