Our Qualifications and Bios

Jeff Browne, CFP

Graduated with a degree in International Affairs and Political Science from Kennesaw State University.  Jeff has been in Financial Services since 1998 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.  Jeff’s primary role in the practice is helping clients develop and understand their investment strategy and asset allocation.

Jeff’s hobbies are international travel, foreign language studies, golf, playing guitar and physical fitness.  He is involved in Mission work in Costa Rica, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Whitfield Healthcare Foundation.

Jeff lives in Calhoun, Georgia with his wife Connie.

Matt Land

Matt has been in the business since 2001. His concentration is employer sponsored retirement plans (401k Plans) and personal financial planning. He achieved the status of QPS (Qualified Plan Specialist) in 2005. Prior to joining Browne, Draper and Land, Matt ran a family business for nine years. Matt graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. While lettering in football, he played on two Southeastern Conference Championship Teams (1988, 1989) as a defensive back. He serves as Advisory Board Chairman of the Northwest Georgia Fellowship of Christian Athletes, has been a volunteer assistant football coach at Dalton High School for fifteen years, and is a Tom Jones Fellow with the Dalton Education Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Dalton-Whitfield, class of 2004, and was a founding member of the Advanced Leadership Academy of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce. He is married to the former Amy McCord of Roanoke, Alabama, and has three girls: Bowen, McCord and Banks. The Land family is a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church.

John Draper

Graduated with a BA Economics/Finance from Kennesaw State University 1987

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, and raised in Marietta, Georgia, John Currently lives in Acworth, Georgia.  In the business since 1997, John’s focus has been in individual financial planning with the overall responsibility of managing the office in Dalton.

John’s Hobbies and Interests include golf, tennis and politics.

Denise Ambrose

Denise Ambrose has worked in the financial services industry since 1991.   She joined Browne, Draper and Land in January of 2007.  She attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.   Resides in Varnell, Georgia with sons, Matthew and Stephen.  Denise is a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Martha Minor

Martha Minor has been with Browne, Draper and Land since 2003. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she spent 5 years administering life insurance for an insurance agency in Atlanta. Since moving to Dalton she was Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Dalton Box and is now working part-time as an Administrative Assistant.
